RETHYMNON AND HERAKLION IN CRETE

In the morning the day was rainy but when we left the hotel luckily it was no rain. We caught a bus to Rethymnon, where we arrived 1:30h later.

The bus stop in Rethymnon is about 20 minutes walking from the Venetian Port along a road between the fortress and the sea.

So in Rethymnon we visited:

The Venetian port of Rethymnon is quite similar to the one of Chania, but smaller. It has a lighthouse too. After enjoying walking the streets of the old town of Rethymnon we came back to the bus station for going to Heraklio.

Heraklion

After a break in the hotel and eating something, we went to the Paleologos Travel Agency (www.ferries.gr) to collect our ferry tickets from Heraklio to Santorini and from Santorini to Mykonos (the tickets of Hellenic Seaways we bought online from Barcelona).

The evening was lovely so we walked up to the port area and the Venetian Fortress.
