BARCELONA MEDIEVAL

One of the areas of Barcelona I like the most is its old city. I enjoy a lot walking through its narrow and charming streets among fantastic gothic churches and palaces. Its squares are quiet places perfect from a break, especially Plaça del Rei and Sant Felip Neri Square.

Apart from the old city of Barcelona, I also would like to include some pictures of the Castle of Montjuïc and the Monastery of Pedralbes, two places I like a lot too.

Below you have pictures of the places I find more interesting in the old city of Barcelona:

  • Streets of the Gothic Quarter
  • Cathedral of Barcelona
  • Church of Santa Maria del Mar
  • Church and square of Santa Maria del Pi
  • Church of Santa Anna
  • Plaça del Rei and Palau Reial
  • Chapel of Santa Àgata
  • Sant Just Square and church
  • Sant Felip Neri Square
  • Jewish Quarter
  • City Hall of Barcelona
  • Plaça Reial
  • Hospital de la Santa Creu in Raval
  • Castle of Montjuïc
  • Monastery of Pedralbes

BARCELONA: PANTÀ DE VALLVIDRERA

A sunny sunday of September we joined one of the activities organized by Els Castellers de Sants (Borinots.cat, @Borinots) to celebrate its twentieth anniversary. The activity consisted of a 20km hike (10km round trip) to Pantà de Vallvidrera in Collserola. The beginning was from the district of Sants in Barcelona.

We had a great time because Els Castellers de Sants are really funny and cheerful people.
