CROATIA: POREC, ROVINJ AND PULA

We took a catamaran of Venezia Lines at 17 pm to go from Venice to Porec. This catamaran left from San Basilio Station. We bought the tickets at the train station of Venezia in the travel agency Agenzie 365 our first day in Venezia. Tickets cost 72 € each.

We arrived at Porec at 8 pm and went to our accommodation, Arlen Bed and Breakfast, located 15min walk from the center. That day we had dinner at our accomodation with live music. As we walked to our accommodation we realized that Porec is a really lively town in the evening, when the terraces are full of people for dinner.

We spent an intense day in Istria Peninsula visiting Porec, Rovinj and Pula. These are the interesting places we visited in each town:

- Porec

  • Byzantine Basilica of Saint Euphrasia
  • Promenade and marina
  • Old town

- Rovinj

  • Saint Eufemia church
  • Old town
  • Promenade

- Pula

  • Roman amphitheater
  • Arch of the Sergians
  • Roman Forum
  • Temple of Augustus

Porec (Parenzo)

We visited Porec for 3 hours. It is essential to visit the Byzantine Basilica of St. Euphrasia, a World Heritage Site. We walked through the streets of the old town and the promenade too.
