In our last day in Santorini we visited the most famous beaches of the island we have not yet seen.
The beaches of Santorini are interesting to visit because of its volcanic landscapes that give them red, black and white colours. However, they are not specially suitable for sunbathing, except perhaps Perissa beach. This black beach was quite spacious and the water was calm as a pool.
So during this day we visited:
- The Red Beach
- The White Beach
- A Black Beach
- Akrotiri
- Fira
Red beach is one of the most popular beaches in Santorini
We arrived by bus from Fira to the museum of Akrotiri, which we didn't visited. From here we walked 15 minutes to the Red Beach. This beach is rather small and it was already crowded. We seek a place and enjoyed the nice day until the first Kaiku reached the beach.

This Kaiku took us to the white beach. We didn't get down because the boat didn't get close to the shore and we would had to get wet to the waist. Then it led us to the Black beach and finally back again to the Red Beach.

The Kaiku led us to this Black Beach in Santorini after the White Beach and before coming back to the Red Beach and Akrotiri
From the Red Beach we came back to the Akrotiri Museum, where we took a bus to the village of Akrotiri. There we had lunch octopus and squid in a family tavern.

After having lunch we came back to our hotel in Firostefani until the sunset, which that time we enjoyed from Fira. We enjoyed a lot the walk from Firostefani to Fira beside the Caldera up to the place from we admired the sunset.

We had dinner in Fira in Argo restaurant. The sunsets of Santorini behind the Caldera are really nice. We enjoyed all the evening sunsets, every day in a different place, and all of them really beautiful.
