Sintra, with its imposing mountain range and palaces, is a prime location of great beauty and cultural and natural interest.
Located near Lisboa, is a perfect place to spend a fantastic day out of the city visiting palaces in a beautiful environment. Going by train from Lisboa is a good choice because there is a train every half hour and the journey takes about 40 minutes from Rossio Station in Lisboa.
What I liked the most in Sintra was the Pena National Palace. This romanticist palace, located on the top of a hill, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal.
These are the monuments we visited in Sintra:
- Pena National Palace

- Quinta da Regaleira
Other interesting places in Sintra we couldn't visit are:
- The Moorish Castle

- Seteais Palace
