We left Zadar at 9am and arrived to Plitvice Lakes at 11h15. The bus dropped us next to a wooden hut. We walked over the bridge that crosses over the road and then arrived at the hotel Bellevue, where we had booked a room for that night. The return bus stops next to the wooden house just on the other side of the road. Tickets are sold in the bus itself. You have to confirm the schedule in advance because few buses stop in Plitvice Lakes.
The turquoise water of Plitvice lakes is really beautiful
After dropping our bags at the hotel, we were ready to enjoy this wonderful natural environment. We bought the tickets and choose the itinerary H, the longest, as we had the whole day to visit this National Park. We ended the itinerary at 19h amazed and truly satisfied (seven hours walking including a lunch break). Together with Dubrovnik, this National Park is the most beautiful place I've seen in Croatia. A must see.
The bus inside Plitvice Lakes left us on the top of the park, so this is the first of the sixteen lakes we saw in this wonderful National Park
